Sheffield Lubricants

Traditionally, used motor oil has been seen as an environmental hazard. It contains a host of harmful compounds detrimental to animal and plant life. According to the EPA, motor oil causes 40% of the pollution in America’s waterways: one gallon of oil can contaminate one million gallons of drinking water. Sheffield Lubricants LLC’s proven technology recycles used lubricating oil into valuable products including clean base oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel.

NAPHTHA

5-10% of used oil can be refined into light end products that in turn can be used for blending and other industrial processes. Naphtha is usually flammable, and is used as a solvent and as an ingredient in gasoline. View Specs Sheet

MARINE GRADE DIESEL FUEL

Marine Grade diesel- Marine engines can use up to 10 times more fuel per hour than the automotive engine. Our recycling process recovers a small amount of high sulfur diesel from every barrel of used oil we process. View Specs Sheet

ASPHALT FLUX

Asphalt flux is a by-product of re-refining used oil suitable for blending with bitumen or asphalt to form a product of greater fluidity or softer consistency. It is a relatively nonvolatile fraction of petroleum used as flux. View Specs Sheet

OUR COMPANY

SHEFFIELD LUBRICANTS

Sheffield Lubricants LLC is a privately held company established in August 2013 specialized in recycling and re-refining used oil into new reusable products like base oil, diesel and asphalt flux. Our plant in Casa Grande, AZ and has the capacity to process over 15 million gallons per year of used oil. Our closed loop system greatly reduces emissions typically produced by refining operations and practically eliminates air pollution from the plant. Waste water removed from our used oil is also carefully disposed of and never allowed to contaminate our waterways.

OUR LINE OF PRODUCTS

company Sheffield Lubricants LLC ensures the highest quality standards for all of our finished products. Due to the extreme heat and pressure of its operating environment, lube oil oxidizes and degrades during use. At the same time, its chemical additives (i.e. anti-foaming compounds and detergents) break down, creating water which mixes with the oil and creates sludge. The oil itself, however, maintains its basic properties. Our lube oil regeneration process removes these impurities, separates the oil into its component hydrocarbons, and results in a very high-quality re-refined oil.

“Although motor oil becomes contaminated during use… it still maintains its basic lubricating properties.  When specially treated to remove contaminants, the used oil can produce new lubricating oil.”
